It is specifically designed for babies who are between one month and ten months old. Participants will also receive valuable information on how to continue practicing massage techniques as their baby grows and develops.
Details
During this 90-minute workshop, participants will learn how to gently share the art of massage with their babies! In addition to practicing massage strokes for the full body, special techniques for tummy issues and baby exercises will also be introduced. Participants will receive pictures and explanations of the strokes, information on crying and behavioral states, and a bottle of cold-pressed vegetable oil.
Massage is a gift that leads to many benefits such as deepened bonds, improved sleep, and a sense of calmness for all!
In this joyful 90-minute gathering, participants are invited to lovingly introduce their babies to the soothing art of massage. Participants will explore whole-body nurturing strokes, learn comforting techniques to ease tummy troubles, and engage in simple, playful exercises together.
At the beginning of the workshop, participants will receive a bottle of cold pressed vegetable oil and given instructions on how to use it. Everyone will comfortably congregate in a circle on the floor. After introductory activities, the massage strokes will be demonstrated and explained by the instructor as the participants practice them with their babies.
After the initial massage, there will be a short break for both babies and caregivers. Following the break, special tummy strokes and baby exercises will be taught and massage strokes will be reviewed. The workshop then provides time for discussion and questions, allowing participants to share experiences and thoughts.
