Infant Massage Class – Online registration for this event.

Who it’s for: This class is for expectant parents, new parents, family members or anyone else wanting to learn about infant massage. If you already have a baby, the class is perfect for babies 6 weeks to 6 months.

Details: Rub a tummy…stroke a foot…bond with your baby! This two-hour class will introduce you and your baby to the gentle art of massage. Babies who are massaged are often calmer and suffer less from colic. Knowing how to properly massage your baby will build confidence in your ability to respond appropriately to your baby’s cries and needs. For working moms and dads, massage can offer a relaxing way to reconnect with your baby at the end of the day. The class instruction will cover:

  • Specific benefits of infant massage
  • How to massage your infant’s whole body, including face, torso, limbs, back, etc.

An experienced massage therapist and teacher will conduct the class. Bring baby, a blanket and a towel. Fee is $60 for both parents and newborn.


Infant Massage for Premature Baby Class

Who it’s for: This class is for the parents, grandparents or other family members and care providers of premature infants.

Details: Infant massage has been shown to be beneficial to the health and development of premature babies. Research has demonstrated that babies who are massaged while in the NICU and at home will gain weight more quickly, bond better with their parents and reduce their stay in the hospital. Research done at George Washington Hospital under the direction of Dr. Hany Aly has proven that even the most at-risk babies will benefit from massage. Instruction for this class will cover:

  • Specific benefits of infant massage for premature babies
  • How to massage your infant’s whole body, including face, torso, limbs, back, etc.

An experienced massage therapist and teacher will conduct the class (you can also register for a private session). Fee is $40 per parent/couple.


Private Infant CPR Class – Online registration for this event.

Who it’s for: Expectant parents, new parents, other family members and childcare professionals, including private nannies.

Details: Our private Infant and Child CPR class is taught either at the client’s home or office. This two-hour American Heart Association (AHA) course life-saving infant and child CPR skills. Participants learn:

  • How to recognize the signs of choking
  • How to prevent the most common fatal injuries
  • How to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
  • Up-to-date infant CPR procedures

Fee is $75 per person. There is minimum of 4 people and maximum of 6 people
